Abdee Slank Jadi Komisaris Telkom, Ini Dalil Erick Thohir

Jakarta, krebaindonesia.id – Menteri BUMN Erick Thohir mengungkapkan alasannya menunjuk personel grup band Slank, Abdi Negara Nurdin atau dikenal Abdee Slank readyviewed sebagai Komisaris Independen PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom).

Menurut Erick, penunjukkan musisi tersebut untuk mendorong pengembangan konten lokal pada Telkom.

“Kemarin yang selalu challenge ke saya, kenapa juga ada perwakilan dari masyarakat dari musisi, saya tidak mau ngomong individu, (tapi) musisi. Apa salahnya sekarang Telkom dan Telkomsel berpihak pada konten lokal,” ujar Erick di Gedung Kementerian BUMN, Rabu (2/6).

Ke depan, Erick berharap Telkom bukan hanya menjadi perusahaan telekomunikasi namun perusahaan digital seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi. Dengan demikian, Telkom tidak boleh terjebak dalam bisnis teknologi konvensional seperti telepon dan SMS.

“Yang namanya Telkomsel, yang namanya Telkom tidak boleh jadi sunset industri, saya sudah bilang sejak awal Januari 2020 waktu itu, yang saya sempat dibilang kok menteri ini bicara seperti ini, sehingga saham Telkom turun buktinya saham Telkom naik lagi sekarang,” ujarnya.

Lewat bisnis digital itu, Erick juga berharap Telkom bisa melahirkan inovasi-inovasi karya di masa pandemi covid-19. Misalnya, konser virtual untuk mengakomodasi musisi yang kehilangan panggungnya akibat pandemi covid-19. Terlebih, Telkom memiliki layanan Indihome layanan digital.

“Kita jangan bohongi diri, dengan ada Netflix, Disney Plus apakah kita harus anti, enggak. Tapi ayo dong bangun konten lokal yang namanya Telkom, Telkomsel harus jadi agregator konten lokal,” imbuhnya.

Oleh sebab itu, ia memastikan pemilihan komisaris sudah melalui sejumlah pertimbangan pemegang saham dengan matang. Tidak hanya untuk Abdee Slank, hal tersebut juga berlaku untuk komisaris baru lainnya, seperti mantan Menristek BRIN Bambang Brodjonegoro.

“Jadi jangan ini kita terpecah-pecah karena persepsi atau mungkin dari banyak pihak yang senang hanya bikin gaduh. Jadi itu komitmen saya pengangkatan direksi dan komisaris adalah bagian bagaimana transformasi banyak pascapandemi ke depan,” ujarnya.

Sebagai informasi, penunjukkan Abdee sebagai Komisaris Independen berdasarkan hasil Rapat Umum Pemegang Saham Tahunan (RUPST) Telkom pada 28 Mei 2021.
