Makassar, karebaindonesia.id – Kuliah Tamu Arsitektur Unismuh Angkat Pentingnya Heritage Kawasan kota tua (heritage) memiliki magnet tersendiri, tidak hanya sebagai penyimpan memori kolektif warga, tetapi juga sebagai pemikat pariwisata. Oleh karenanya penting untuk dijaga. Hal itu disampaikan oleh Dr. Aidatul Fadzlin Bt Bakri yang menjadi pembicara International Guest Lecture – Kuliah Tamu Arsitektur Unismuh Makassar (Kultum Edisi Ketujuh) pada Sabtu (17/7/2021) via Zoom Meeting.

“Cultural heritage memberi makna bagi masyarakat lokal melalui sense of place. Keberlanjutan heritage perlu mendapat perhatian,” tambah Dr. Aidatul, peneliti asal Malaysia ini.

Kegiatan bertajuk “Sense of Place in A World Heritage Site: The Case of George Town, Malaysia” tersebut berlangsung atas kerja sama Prodi Arsitektur Unismuh Makassar, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, dan Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Malaysia.

Ketua Prodi Arsitektur Unismuh, Dr. Irnawaty Idrus, berharap bahwa kegiatan ini dapat bermanfaat untuk semua kalangan. Tidak hanya di lingkup akademis, tetapi juga pengambil kebijakan di dalam kota. Arsitektur Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar akan aktif berkolaborasi dengan semua pihak untuk isu-isu yang berkaitan dengan arsitektur dan perkotaan.
