Kabupaten jeneponto memiliki Luas wilayah 749,79 km persegi, meliputi 114 desa/kelurahan dari 11 kecamatan, yakni: Kecamatan Bangkala, Batang, Kelara, Binamu, Tamalatea, Bontoramba,, Rumbia, Turatea, Tarowang, Arungkeke dan Bangkala Barat
sebagai daerah yang memiliki luas wilayah dan jumlah penduduk yang besar tersebut kemudian berimplikasi sejajar dengan dinamika dan konpleksitas sosial ekonomi masyarakatnya
merespon kenyataan itu, Badan pusat Statistik (BPS) kabupaten Jeneponto menggelar rapat koordinasi daerah (Rakorda) bersama pemerintah daerah, camat dan ratusan kepala desa/kelurahan diruang pola panrannuanta
Rakorda tersebut sekaligus menandai bakal dimulainya Pendataan awal registrasi sosial ekonomi (Regsosek) diseluruh pelosok daerah kabupaten jeneponto
kepala Badan pusat Statistik (BPS) kabupaten Jeneponto Muhammad Kamil menjelaskan bahwa Pendataan awal registrasi sosial ekonomi (Regsosek) dilakukan sebagai mandat dari presiden RI untuk menyediakan sistem dan basis data penduduk yang terdiri atas Profil, kondisi sosial, ekonomi serta tingkat kesejahteraan masyarakat
ia selanjutnya membeberkan bahwa sebanyak 578 orang petugas BPS akan melakukan pendataan awal pada 114 desa/kelurahan di 11 kecamatan dalam waktu dekat
_“kami berharap kesempatan ini menjadi Langkah awal untuk memperkuat kolaborasi multisektor, sehingga nantinya para petugas dilapangan dapat menghasilkan data yang akurat dan objektif_”ujarnya
Sementara itu bupati Iksan Iskandar menyambut baik program Pendataan awal registrasi sosial ekonomi (Regsosek) tahun 2022
