Digelar Perdana Akhir Tahun Ini, 84 Mahasiswa IPI Diwisuda

Makassar, karebaindonesia.id – Sebanyak 84 sarjana Institut Parahikma Indonesia (IPI) diwisuda pada Sidang Senat Terbuka Luar Biasa pada Kamis, 17 Desember 2020 hari ini di Four Points by Sheraton, Makassar.

Sarjana yang diwisuda berasal dari Program Studi (Prodi) Ekonomi Syariah (EKSYAR) sebanyak 39 orang, dari Prodi Tadris Bahasa Inggris (TBI) sebanyak 22 orang, dan Dari prodi Manajemen Pendidikan Islam (MPI) sebanyak 23 orang.

Dalam acara wisuda ini dihadiri para orang tua alumni, Sekretaris KOPERTAIS Wilayah VIII, Kadis Pendidikan Kabupaten Gowa mewakili Bupati Gowa, pihak Yayasan Parahikma, beserta seluruh jajaran sivitas akademika Institut Parahikma Indonesia. Salah satu pihak yayasan, Muh. Yaumi memuji kualitas wisudawan dalam sambutannya.

“Dari pengalaman saya sebagai penguji eksternal waktu itu, saya berpikir kok bisa mahasiswa-mahasiswa yang bukan dari prodi bahasa inggris bisa bahasa inggris semua? Bukan hanya itu, mereka juga tahu budaya yang ada di luar negeri,” katanya.

“Ternyata 25% dosen-dosennya adalah lulusan dari luar negeri yang studi disana dengan beasiswa Fulbright. Kelemahan kampus ini adalah belum banyak dikenali orang. Tapi kalau begini alumninya, maka mereka akan berbondong-bondong kuliah di IPI,” ungkapnya kemudian.

Sementara itu, Rektor IPI, Azhar Arsyad menyatakan bahwa mahasiswa IPI adalah orang-orang terpilih yang dibuktikan dengan rentetan prestasi mahasiswa IPI baik di tingkat regional, nasional, maupun internasional.

Meskipun acara wisuda diadakan dalam masa pandemi, para hadirin mempercayakan pihak panitia wisuda dan pihak hotel yang sangat mengutamakan protokol kesehatan, mulai dari penggunaan masker, cuci tangan, dan jaga jarak.

Tak semua wisudawan mujur didampingi oleh keluarga, ada di antara keluarga wisudawan yang tidak sempat datang dikarenakan beberapa faktor seperti lokasi yang jauh dari kampung halaman, faktor kesehatan, dan takdir yang berbeda.

Seperti yang dialami oleh alumni terbaik ketiga yakni Mursyidin Yusuf, salah satu mahasiswa yang mengharumkan nama IPI dalam ajang SUSI Program di Amerika beberapa tahun silam.

Dalam sambutannya yang disampaikan dalam bahasa Inggris, dia bercerita tentang ayahnya yang sudah lama meninggal, dan ibunya yang awalnya pesimis menguliahkan karena faktor finansial.

Kisah mengharukan juga disampaikan oleh wisudawan terbaik pertama, Muhammad Ilham yang menyebut, pengalamannya pertama kalinya masuk di IPI.

“Saya sebenarnya tidak suka bahasa Inggris. Namun setelah lama belajar di IPI justru asumsi saya berubah. Pernah saya ke Kediri, Pare, untuk belajar bahasa Inggris. Ternyata setiba di sana, saya justru ditunjuk untuk menjadi tutor,” ujarnya.

Selain kisah tersebut, Muhammad Ilham juga telah menerbitkan buku pembelajaran bahasa Inggris, dan menjadi pembina di asrama kampus yang mengajarkan bahasa Inggris ke junior-juniornya.

Di sela acara wisuda ini, para alumni mengucapkan ikrar alumni. Besar harapan pihak institusi kepada para alumni, yang nantinya mengharumkan nama baik almamater dimanapun mereka berada. Dengan bekal Trilogi IPI yakni Bahasa Inggris, ICT, dan Spiritual Wisdom, serta profesionalisme Prodi, alumni bisa bersaing dengan luaran kampus lain baik dari dalam dan luar negeri.[]
