Dugaan Suap Edhy Prabowo Saat Pandemi, Mahfud MD: Terancam Hukuman Mati

Jakarta, Karebaindonesia.id – Wakil Ketua Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (KPK), Nawawi Pomolango menjelaskan tentang kasus yang menimpa Menteri Kelautan dan Perikanan, Edhy Prabowo.

Dilansir dari Kompasiana.com, kasus tersebut bermula dari Surat Keputusan (SK) 53/2020 tentang Tim Uji Tuntas Perizinan Usaha Perikanan Budaya Lobster yang diterbitkannya.

Memasuki bulan Oktober 2020, uang “pelicin” pun mengalir dengan aliran dana sebesar 731 Juta Rupiah yang dinikmati oleh Istri Edhy Prabowo, Iis Rosyati Dewi bersama dua orang staf khususnya, yaitu Andreau dan Safri.

Dari aliran dana tersebut, Edhy Prabowo beserta istri diduga membeli barang-barang mahal, seperti jam tangan Rolex, tas Tumi dan LV, serta baju Old Navy di Hawaii, Amerika Serikat pada 21-23 November 2020.

Sebelumnya pada bulan Juni 2020 lalu, Menteri Koordinator Bidang Politik, Hukum, dan Keamanan (Menkopolhukam), Mahfud MD mengingatkan kepada semua pihak untuk tidak melakukan korupsi di saat era pandemi Covid-19.

Dia menegaskan bahwa tidak ada aturan yang melindungi pejabat publik yang tertangkap dalam kasus korupsi atau suap.

“Bahkan saya memastikan barang siapa melakukan korupsi di era sedang terjadi bencana seperti ini maka ancaman hukuman mati,” ungkapnya.

Dalam penjelasannya, dalam Undang-undang Tindak Pidana Korupsi (Tipikor) pun sudah tertuang aturan tersebut. Walau normalnya, tersangka korupsi atau suap bisa dijatuhi hukuman penjara maksimal 20 tahun atau seumur hidup.

“Kecuali dilakukan di saat bencana maka ancamannya bisa hukuman mati. Itu adalah bunyi Undang-undang,” tegasnya.[]
