Makassar, karebaindonesia.id – Forum Peneliti Muda (FPM) UIN Alauddin Makassar (UINAM) melaksanakan Webinar Nasional dengan tema “Pilkada di Tengah Pandemi Covid-19” yang diadakan pada Sabtu, 05 Desember 2020 sore tadi.

Kegiatan tersebut dilaksanakan secara daring via Zoom ini menghadirkan sejumlah pemateri, seperti Endangsari (Komisioner KPU Kota Makassar Divisi SDM dan Partisipasi Masyarakat) dan Wasisto Jati (Peneliti Bidang Politik LIPI).

Endangsari selaku pembicara pertama pada acara ini mengatakan bahwa KPU melakukan perubahan signifikan dalam persiapan teknis penyelenggaran Pilkada kali ini karena protokol kesehatan harus diberlakukan dengan tegas.

Sementara itu, pembicara kedua, Wasisto Jati menuturkan bahwa pelaksanaan Pilkada serentak di masa pandemi berdampak pada tidak seimbangnya kampanye antar kandidat.

Selain itu, risiko lain yang dapat terjadi adalah rendahnya partisipasi pemilih, terbatasnya pengawas independen dari dalam dan luar negeri, dan adanya potensi peningkatan kecurangan pada jual beli suara karena pemilih dalam kondisi krisis.

Seminar yang dimoderatori oleh Farahdiba Bachtiar (Ketua FPM UINAM) berjalan dengan baik dan mendapat antusias tinggi dari peserta hingga berakhirnya kegiatan.

Salah seorang peserta, Zulkarnaim Masyhur mengungkapkan bahwa materi yang disampaikan sangat menarik.

Menurutnya, semua orang mengharapkan pelaksanaan pemilu serentak beberapa hari ke depan dapat berjalan lancar dan dengan tetap menerapkan protokol kesehatan dengan baik.

“Apalagi ada komparasi pelaksanaan pemilu di negara lain seperti Korea Selatan dan Burkina Faso pada masa pandemi,” ungkapnya.[]
