Pada bulan Agustus tahun ini, masyarakat kabupaten jeneponto akhirnya dapat merayakan HUT RI yang ke-77 dengan penuh sukacita.
berbeda dengan tahun sebelumnya, pada HUT RI tahun ini masyarakat jeneponto dapat merayakannya dalam suasana normal tanpa bayang-bayang ketakutan akibat pandemic Covid1
Hal ini berarti masyarakat dapat dengan tenang mengekspresikan rasa kebanggaan dan sikap nasionalismenya melalui ragam macam cara
Sejak pukul 07.00 wita, terlihat kerumunan orang bak lautan manusia, yang menggunakan drescode warna kuning memenuhi lapangan Passamaturukang jln. Lanto daeng Pasewang, Kelurahan Empoang, kecamatan Binamu jeneponto
Menurut pantauan, diketahui Lautan manusia tersebut hadir untuk mengikuti gerakan 1 juta bendera merah putih dirangkaikan dengan kegiatan senam sehat yang diinisiasi oleh pemerintah daerah, Forkopimda dan organisasi profesi Assosiasi Pemerintah Desa Seluruh Indonesia atau disingkat APDESI
Kegiatan yang menjadi rangkaian peringatan hari kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia ke-77 tersebut terlihat cukup inklusif, kegiatan yang meriah. Bukan kegiatan eksklusif untuk golongan tertentu saja. Tapi kegiatan yang mencerminkan semangat kebersamaan dan kedaerahan jeneponto
Seluruh representasi dari lapisan masyarakat hadir bergembira riang menyatukan diri dalam glorisifitas dan suasana kebatinan yang sama untuk menyambut peringatan hari kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia ke-77 tahun
Hadir ditengah-tengah massa dengan ekspresi penuh kebahagiaan, bupati H. Iksan Iskandar, wakil bupati H. Paris Yasir, Sekda H. Muh. Arifin Nur, Kapolres AKBP Andi Erma Suyarno, Dandim letkol. Inf. Agus Tanra, Kajari Susanto Ghani dan ketua Tp. PKK Hj. Hamsiah Iksan
Bupati H. Iksan Iskandar dalam sambutan menyampaikan bahwa gerakan 1 juta bendera merah putih yang dirangkaikan dengan senam sehat merupakan perwujudan kebersamaan dalam menyambut peringatan hari kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia
selain itu orang nomor satu jeneponto itu menambahkan harapan agar peringatan hari kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia tahun ini dapat dimaknai serta di isi dengan penuh semangat dan sukacita
