Gubernur: Insyaallah Oktober Mulai Umrah; Garuda Buka Penerbangan Langsung Makassar-Jeddah

Sulsel, Karebaindonesia.id— Direktur Utama Garuda Indonesia Irfan Setiaputra melakukan audiensi ke Gubernur Sulawesi Selatan Prof HM Nurdin Abdullah di Rumah Jabatan Gubernur Sulsel, Jalan Sam Ratulangi, Kota Makassar, Selasa (4/8/2020).

Dalam pertemuan ini disepakati antara Pemprov Sulsel dan Garuda Indonesia berkomitmen pulihkan ekonomi bangsa. Selain membahas berbagai peluang, juga membahas maskapai Garuda Indonesia akan membuka rute baru. Dan teranyar rute langsung Makassar ke Jeddah. Salah satu yang disasar adalah jamaah yang mulai umrah di Bulan Oktober.

“Saat ini kita melihat banyak ‘opportunity’ (peluang) kita lakukan diskusi, termasuk daerah Indonesia Timur dari Makassar. Rute baru lainnya di Balikpapan, Sorong, Merauke, dan Manado, tinggal disetujui Kemenhub,” kata Dirut Garuda Indonesia Irfan Setiaputra.

Nurdin Abdullah menerangkan pembukaan rute baru merupakan kabar mengembirakan bagi Sulawesi Selatan. Khususnya rute langsung Makassar – Jeddah yang direncanakan Oktober mendatang.

“Kabar penerbangan langsung dari Makassar ke Jeddah tentu merupakan kabar menggembirakan bagi Sulsel. Jadi ‘opportunity’ (peluang) kita memang sangat besar untuk rute-rute baru ini,” terang Gubernur yang baru membawa Opini WTP 2020 dari BPK bagi Sulsel ini.

Dampak pandemi Covid-19 berdampak juga bagi perjalanan ibadah. Setelah berbulan-bulan aktivitas perjalanan ibadah umrah ditiadakan, Gubernur berharap perjalanan Umrah dapat dimulai Oktober nanti. “Alhamdulillah dan mudah-mudahan Oktober kita sudah bisa memulai perjalanan ibadah umrah kita,” lanjut Prof Nurdin Abdullah.

“Saya kira sekarang. Tentunya yang harus pertama, sebelum membuka (pariwisata) kita pastikan, bahwa protokol Covid-19 itu dilakukan secara ketat,” tutupnya.(*)

Sejak pandemi covid-19 merebak, menurut Kepala Bidang Penyelenggara Haji dan Umrah, Kemenag Provinsi Sulsel, Kaswad Sartono menyebut sebanyak 24.000 jemaah umrah terpaksa ditunda keberangkatannya.

Pemerintah Provinsi Sulsel meyakini dengan dibukanya rute penerbangan Makassar-Jeddah diharapkan proses pemulihan ekonomi di bidang pariwisata perlahan membaik di Sulawesi Selatan. Gubernur mengangendakan akan mulai umrah tahun ini.

    There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to

    and from now on each time a comment is added I get 4 emails with the same comment.
    There has to be an easy method you can remove me from that service?
