Gubernur Sulsel Akan Sulap Pulau Lae-lae Jadi Icon Wisata Kuliner

Gubenur Sulawesi Selatan, Nurdin Abdullah saat mengunjungi Pulau Lae-lae.

Makassar, Karebaindonesia.id — Gubernur Sulawesi Selatan (Sulsel), Nurdin Abdullah mencanangkan pengembangan pusat wisata kuliner baru di Kota Makassar.

Rencananya tempat wisata kuliner ini ada di sekitar kawasan Pulau Lae-lae. Pengembangan tersebut pun akan dijalankan setelah menyelesaikan reklamasi lahan seluas 12 hektare.

Reklamasi yang akan dilakukan di Pulau Lae-Lae sudah masuk tahap sosialisasi. Pulau Lae-lae akan ditata dan dibangun pusat kuliner seafood serta dikelola oleh warga setempat.

“Jadi pemerintah kebetulan ini reklamasi yang ada di sini (Center Point of Indonesia). Kita pemerintah masih ada kekurangan kurang lebih 12 hektare,” kata Nurdin Abdullah saat melakukan sosialisasi dan dialog bersama masyarakat pulau, Sabtu, (12/09/2020).

Lahan 12 hektare ini diharapkan bisa menjadi pemicu ekonomi masyarakat di Lae-lae dan memberdayakan ekonomi masyarakat.

“Sekitar 12 hektare, nanti akan kita siapkan pusat-pusat kuliner. Kalau orang mau makan ikan bakar, datanglah ke Lae-lae. Dan siapa pelaku ekonominya adalah masyarakat Lae-lae. Jadi nanti pemerintah akan membangunkan warung-warung ikan bakar,” sebutnya.

Ia juga meminta masyarakat pulau untuk ditata. Ia menekankan bahwa masyarakat tidak dipindahkan, justru masyarakat diberdayakan.

“Jadi tidak ada pemikiran pemerintah sedikit pun untuk memindahkan. Bahkan akan kita tata ini menjadi sebuah kearifan lokal, jadi masyarakat bisa diberdayakan di sini,” ucapnya.

Perluasan ini juga akan menjadi tempat masyarakat untuk dapat menikmati sunset.

Untuk penyebarangan juga akan dibangun dermaga dan jalan di pulau juga akan ditata.

“Saya dan Pak Wali akan pikirkan supaya ada kepastian masyarakat Lae-lae tinggal di sini. Mohon dukungan kita semua, semoga program kita 12 hektar ini, akan memberikan dampak ekonomi dan peningkatan kesejateraan masyarakat Lae-lae,” pungkasnya.
