Karebaindonesia.id – Menteri Pertahanan, Prabowo Subianto Republik Indonesia berencana akan melakukan lawatan ke Amerika Serikat (AS) pada Jumat, 16 Oktober 2020, hari ini waktu setempat.
Dilansir oleh media internasional Reuters, Pemerintahan Presiden Donald Trump akan menyambut Prabowo Subianto di Pentagon hari ini waktu setempat.
Selain itu, Menteri Pertahanan AS, Mark Esper juga berencana akan bertemu dengan Prabowo Subianto di Pentagon.
Hal itu diapresiasi oleh seorang pejabat senior pertahanan AS yang membela keputusan untuk menyambut Prabowo Subianto di Pentagon.
“Menteri Prabowo adalah menteri pertahanan yang ditunjuk oleh presiden yang telah dua kali terpilih di Indonesia, yang merupakan negara demokrasi terbesar ketiga di dunia,” ujar pejabat tersebut secara anonim.
Tambahnya, dia merasa bahwa Prabowo Subianto adalah rekan bagi AS yang harus disambut.
“Dia adalah rekan kami, dari kemitraan yang sangat penting, dan penting bagi kami untuk terlibat dengannya, dan memperlakukannya sebagai mitranya,” tuturnya.[]
