IKATEK Unhas Gelar Event Lari Lewat Virtual, Begini Konsep Kegiatannya

Makassar, karebaindonesia.id – Komunitas pelari IKA Teknik Universitas Hasanuddin (IKATEK UH), 09 Runners, bersiap menggelar Engineers Meet Up (EMU) Virtual Run 2020 pada Minggu 4 Oktober 2020, secara Virtual.

Kegiatan itu merupakan rangkaian pasca pelaksanaan Halal Bihalal (HBH) IKATEK Unhas yang digelar beberapa waktu lalu.

Event lari virtual tersebut diketahui pertama kali digelar di Sulawesi Selatan, khususnya di Kota Makassar.

Ketua Panitia EMU 2020 IKATEK Unhas, Sri Asri Wulandari, mengungkapkan harapannya terkait penyelenggaran event lari virtual tersebut.

“Semoga acara Virtual Run IKATEK Unhas besok yang merupakan rangkaian acara HBH IKATEK dapat berjalan lancar dan sukses,” ucap Sri, Sabtu, 3 Oktober 2020.

Selain itu, Alumnus Teknik Sipil Unhas ini juga berharap pada penyelenggaraan event lari virtual yang dihelat di tengah pandemi tersebut bisa meningkatkan silaturahim sesama Alumni Teknik Unhas.

“Da mudah-mudahan dapat meningkatkan semangat berolahraga bersama warga Kota Makassar. Apalagi di tengah pandemi ini, olahraga merupakan benteng pencegahan Covid-19,” tambahnya.

Sementara itu, Ketua Umum Komunitas 09 Runners, Muh. Azhar mengatakan, dalam event EMU Virtual Run 2020, pihaknya berinisiatif mengumpulkan seluruh Alumni Teknik Unhas yang gemar dengan olahraga lari, dan 09 Runners yang kemudian bertindak sebagai panitia pelaksana, disamping panitia EMU selaku penyelenggara.

Event ini juga sebagai momentum Komunitas 09 Runner untuk dikukuhkan sebagai bagian dari IKA Teknik Unhas. Dan IKATEK Alhamdulillah sudah bersedia memasukkan 09 Runners sebagai bagian dari IKA Teknik Unhas,” ujar Chaca’, sapaan akrab Muh. Azhar.

Dalam EMU Virtual Fun Run nantinya, pihak panitia dalam hal ini Komunitas 09 Runners, mengimbau kepada seluruh peserta agar menerapkan protokol kesehatan Covid-19.

“Harapan kami untuk EMU Virtual Fun Run mudah-mudahan bisa berjalan sukses dan tetap menjalankan protokol kesehatan dengan baik,” ujar Chaca’.

Adapun jumlah peserta saat ini yang telah menyatakan diri siap mengikuti EMU Virtual Run 2020 yakni mencapai 889 orang.

“Jumlah peserta umum dan Alumni Teknik Unhas totalnya 889 orang,” jelasnya.

Rencananya, EMU Virtual Run 2020 IKATEK Unhas bakal dibuka oleh Pj Wali Kota Makassar Rudy Djamaluddin.

Rudy akan melakukan flag off pada pukul 06.30 Wita di Rumah Jabatan Wali Kota Makassar.

Flag off itu sendiri juga digelar secara virtual dengan menerapkan protokol kesehatan pencegahan Covid 19.

Menurut Pj Wali Kota Makassar, dirinya siap membuka event tersebut, terlebih kegiatan itu merupakan inisiasi alumni Teknik Unhas.

Hal itu disampaikan Rudy saat menerima kunjungan silaturahmi Panitia Pelaksana EMU Virtual Run 2020 di Rujab Wali Kota Makassar.

Guru Besar bidang Ilmu Struktur Beton Bertulang Fakultas Teknik Unhas itu juga menyebut jika pihaknya mendukung aktivitas warga untuk berolahraga yang dinilai mampu meningkatkan imunitas tubuh dengan tetap mematuhi protokol kesehatan.

“Kami siap membuka event ini secara virtual. Kami pun mengimbau kepada peserta untuk tetap mematuhi protokol kesehatan selama berlangsungnya kegiatan sebagai landasan digelarnya event virtual ini,” tegas Pj Wali Kota Makassar, Rudy Djamaluddin.
