Makassar, karebaindonesia.id – Imam Masjid Jamaica Muslim Center New York, Imam Shamsi Ali memotivasi siswa siswi SMP dan SMA Al Biruni Mandiri agar menguasai Bahasa Asing dan pondasi iman yang kuat untuk untuk menjadi sosok Pendakwah yang memiliki integritas. Demikian disampaikan Imam Shamsi Ali pada acara Pemateri Tamu Daring SMP SMA Al Biruni Mandiri Makassar, pada hari Senin (23/8). Di hadapan 179 siswa siswi yang mengikuti materi secara daring, Imam Shamsi Ali yang merupakan kelahiran Bulukumba, menceritakan kiprah dakwahnya sebagai sosok Tokoh Agama Internasional di Amerika.

Direktur Pendidikan Al Biruni Mandiri, Arofah Kube yang turut memberikan sambutan dalam kegiatan tersebut mengatakan, Al Biruni Mandiri sebagai sekolah Islam siap mencetak Elite Captain, yakni sosok siswa muslim yang memiliki kapasitas dan kapabilitas menyambut tantangan dakwah yg semakin menarik di dunia Barat. “Alhamdulillah siswa kita dipersiapkan dengan program Elite Captain: yakni memiliki penguasaan yang bagus akan skill Bahasa Inggris, Bahasa Arab, Tahfidz, ilmu ilmu umum dan tentu saja pembinaan karakter keislaman yang kuat agar sanggup mengarungi dunia dakwah. “Dengan persiapan Kapasitas melalui ilmu ilmu tersebut di sekolah Al Biruni Mandiri, maka kita sangat optimis, siswa siswa Al Biruni yang menjadi alumni, kelak siap menyambut tantangan dakwah di dunia Barat sana.” tandasnya.

Penanggung Jawab kegiatan, Ali Syahbana, mengatakan Pemateri Tamu Imam Shamsi yang menyampaikan ceramahnya dalam Bahasa Inggris tersebut, selain menginspirasi siswa siswa dengan pengalaman beliau sebagai Tokoh Islam Internasional dari Indonesia, juga bertujuan untuk melatih skill Listening Comprehension (Kemampuan mendengar) dan Speaking (Berbicara) Bahasa Inggris siswa. Sebanyak 10 orang siswa SMP dan SMA mampu menyampaikan pertanyaannya dalam Bahasa Inggris yang fasih.

“Ini adalah bentuk pengamalan dan pengalaman nyata siswa terhadap mata pelajaran Bahasa Inggris. Dengan menghadirkan Guest Teacher yang berbahasa Inggris, siswa secara real mampu mempraktekkan kemampuan Bahasa Inggrisnya yang selama ini telah mereka dapatkan melalui kelas kelas daring maupun luring di Al Biruni Mandiri.” tandas Guru Bahasa Inggris ini.

Alisyahbana menambahkan, sisi unik dari acara Pemateri Tamu ini adalah MC, moderator dan pengisi acaranya hampir semuanya siswa siswa yang sudah menjadi hafidz hafidzah Al Qur’an dan mampu berbahasa Inggris dengan lancar. “Semoga kegiatan Pemateri tamu ini semakin mengokohkan karakter keislaman anak didik kami dan menginspirasi mereka untuk semakin memperdalam Bahasa Inggris agar mampu menjadi Shamsi Ali berikutnya, sosok muslim Indonesia yang mampu go internasional dan berprestasi tingkat dunia.” tutup guru yang akrab disapa Ustad Ali ini.
