badan metereologi, klimatologi dan geofisika (BMKG) wilayah IV telah mengeluarkan peringatan dini untuk beberapa daerah disulawesi selatan tak  terkecuali Jeneponto

melalui edaran tertulis BMKG (18/02/2022), hujan dengan intensitas sedang hingga lebat diprediksi akan mengguyur kabupaten Jeneponto mulai tanggal 20 sampai 23 februari 2022

dalam dua hari terakhir sebagian besar wilayah kabupaten Jeneponto diguyur hujan lebat, hal tersebut berakibat tergenangnya beberapa ruas jalan utama yang biasa dilalui mulai dari kendaraan roda dua hingga kendaraan berat jenis tronton

salah satu titik berada di poros depan pasar karisa dengan tinggi genangan mencapai betis orang dewasa

Keberadaan genangan di depan pasar karisa cukup berpengaruh pada aksesbilitas transportsi yang akan melintas dari arah bantaeng menuju Makassar begitupun sebaliknya

Hal tersebut pun langsung menjadi perhatian pemerintah daerah kabupaten jeneponto

bupati H. Iksan Iskandar bersama beberapa kepala OPD langsung meninjau titik genangan didepan pasar karisa dan aliran drainase di belakang pasar karisa.
