Kabar Duka, Pendiri Raksasa Media Kompas Gramedia Jakob Oetama Tutup Usia

Jakarta, karebaindonesia.id – Pendiri Raksasa Media Kompas Gramedia, Jakob Oetama tutup usia di Rumah Sakit Mitra Keluarga Kelapa Gading, Jakarta, pada Rabu, 9 September 2020 sekitar pukul 13.05 Waktu Indonesia Barat.

Hal itu dikonfirmasi oleh Dokter Rumah Sakit Mitra Keluarga Kelapa Gading, Felix Prabowo Salim. Dilansir dari Kompas.com dia mengatakan bahwa kondisi awal Jakob Oetama saat masuk rumah sakit pertama kali pada 22 Agustus 2020 sudah mengalami gangguan multiorgan.

Kondisinya sempat membaik, namum kemudian memburuk lagi. Hingga pada Minggu, 6 September 2020 sore, Jakob Oetama mengalami koma.

“Selama perawatan sempat sebenernya naik turun, di mana selama perawatan hampir lebih dari dua minggu sempat perbaikan dan terjadi penurunan, hanya pada saat-saat terakhir karena faktor usia dan kondisi semakin memburuk akhirnya beliau meninggal,” ujarnya yang dilansir Kompas.com pada Rabu, 9 September 2020 siang tadi

Tambahnya, pihak Rumah Sakit Mitra Keluarga Kelapa Gading telah melakukan tes Swab kepada Jakob Oetama yang dinyatakan negatif.

Rencananya, jenazah Jakob Oetama akan dibawa ke rumah duka di Jalan Sriwijaya 40, Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta untuk melakukan ibadah misa dan akan dikebumikan di Taman Makam Pahlawan (TMP) Kalibata, Jakarta pada Kamis, 10 September 2020 besok.

Jakob Oetama yang wafat di usia 88 tahun dikenal sebagai wartawan dan salah satu pendiri Surat Kabar Kompas. Selain itu, dia juga merupakan Presiden Direktur Kelompok Kompas-Gramedia, Pembina Pengurus Pusat Persatuan Wartawan Indonesia, dan Penasihat Konfederasi Wartawan ASEAN.

Selamat jalan Jakob Oetama. Karyamu untuk bangsa dan negara akan selalu dikenang dan membawa dampak besar untuk masa depan Indonesia.[]
