Ponorogo, karebaindonesia.id – Tokoh Agama yang juga adalah Pengasuh Pondok Pesantren Modern Gontor K.H. Abdullah Syukri Zarkasyi, Wafat pada Rabu, 21 Oktober 2020 sekitar pukul 15.50 Waktu Indonesia Barat di kediamannya di daerah Gontor, Ponorogo, Jawa Timur.

Dilansir dari Tribunnews.com, Berita duka tersebut disampaikan sekretaris Pimpinan Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor.

“Inna lillahi wa innaa ilaihi rajiuun. Ayahanda Dr KH Abdullah Syukri Zarkasyi, Pimpinan Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor, tutup usia, berpulang ke rahmatullah pada Rabu 21 Oktober 2020, pukul 15.50,” tulisnya.

Kyai Haji Syukri Zarkasi lahir di Gontor pada 19 September 1942. Beliau adalah Putra pertama dari K.H. Imam Zarkasyi salah seorang Trimurti Pendiri Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor.

Mendiang K.H. Syukri Zarkasi menamatkan Sekolah Dasar di Desa Gontor pada 1954, setelah menamatkan Khuliyatu Mu’alimin Al-Islamiyah (KMI) Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor pada 1960.

Kemudian Ia melanjutkan studi ke IAIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, selanjutnya melanjutkan pendidikan ke Univeesitas Al-Azhar Kairo, Mesir.

Rencananya jenazah Almarhum akan dimakamkan di pemakaman keluarga Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor Ponorogo. Hingga berita ini diturunkan, belum ada informasi terkait waktu pemakamannya.

Selamat jalan Kyai. Semoga amal ibadahmu diterima di sisi Allah Azza wa Jalla dan keluarga yang ditinggalkan diberikan kesabaran dan kebaikan selalu.[]
