Kemenangan Mutlak, Khabib Nurmagomedov Putuskan Pensiun Dari MMA

Karebaindonesia.id – Petarung Mixed Martial Art (MMA) asal Rusia, Khabib Nurmagomedov resmi memutuskan untuk pensiun dari dunia seni bela diri campuran tersebut.

Hal tersebut disampaikannya setelah petarung yang diapresiasi masyarakat Muslim dunia itu menaklukkan Justin Gaetjhe dalam UFC 254 yang diadakan di Fight Island, Abu Dhabi, Uni Emirat Arab pada Minggu, 25 Oktober 2020 dini hari waktu setempat.

Dilansir dari MMA Junkie, pertarungan itu juga menandakan duel terakhir petarung yang dijuluki The Eagle itu.

“Ini adalah pertarungan terakhir saya,” tegas Khabib Nurmagomedov saat diwawancarai ketika memenangkan pertarungan melawan Justin Gaetjhe.

Dalam kemenangannya, diiringi momen emosional ketika Khabib Nurmagomedov bersujud sambil menangis setelah mengakhiri duel tersebut. Hal itu dikarenakan kedukaan atas wafatnya Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov yang adalah ayahnya yang telah membuat Khabib Nurmagomedov menjadi penguat sekaligus pelatih hingga menjadi petarung terbaik.

“Terima kasih ayah untuk semuanya, engkau telah mengajarkan semua untuk kehidupanku, semoga Allah membalasmu dengan surga tertinggi,” ujarnya.

Selama karirnya, Khabib Nurmagomedov meraih kemenangan beruntun sebanyak 29 kali, tanpa seri dan kalah.
