Karebaindonesia.id – Minggu 20 Juni 2020. Seperti yang kita ketahui bersama, manfaat yang penting dari hutan bakau (Mangrove) adalah memiliki fungai ekologis seperti sebagai pelindung pantai, habitat berbagai jenis satwa, dan tempat pembesaran banyak jenis ikan laut. Salah satu fungsi utama hutan bakau adalah untuk melindungi garis pantai dari abrasi pengikisan, serta meredam gelombang besar termasuk tsunami di Jepang, Salah satu upaya mengurangi dampak ancaman tsunami adalah dengan membangun green belt atau sabuk hijau berupa hutan mangrove.

Berangkat dari itu KMB Lamellong UMI merealisasikan “Gerakan Ribuan Bibit Untuk Pesisir Indonesia” yang dillaksanakan di Kabupaten Bone, Lebih tepat nya di desa Ujung’e Kecamatan Tonra. Di lokasi tersebut memang sepatut nya di lakukan penanaman Mangrove, guna untuk menjadi green belt di desa tersebut. Di lokasi tersebut kurang lebih 60% rumah yang ada disana berada di pesisir lautan.

Dengan terlaksananya kegiatan ini mudah mudahan bisa menjadi suatu pemantik bagi generasi generasi pemuda untuk tetap slalu menjadi garda terdepan dalam persoalan terkait masalah lingkungan.
