Jakarta, karebaindonesia.id – Koalisi Reformasi Sektor Keamanan mendesak Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi) dan DPR RI untuk mempercepat reformasi Polri. Salah satu perwakilan koalisi dari LBH Jakarta, Teo Reffelsen mengatakan desakan itu menyusul maraknya kritik
Dilansir karebaindonesia.id dari cnnindonesia.id Teo memaparkan, riuhnya tagar tersebut di media sosial sebagai bentuk kekecewaan masyarakat atas kerja-kerja kepolisian.
“Yang dalam berbagai kasus dianggap tidak akuntabel, transparan, dan bertentangan dengan prinsip-prinsip hak asasi manusia,” kata Teo dalam keterangan tertulisnya, Jumat (15/10).
Imbuhnya lagi, presiden dan DPR RI untuk segera melakukan percepatan agenda reformasi kepolisian dengan melakukan revisi berbagai undang-undang yang berhubungan dengan aspek baik kultural, struktural, hingga instrumental.
Teo mengungkapkan reformasi bisa dimulai dengan melakukan revisi berbagai peraturan yang berkaitan kinerja Polri. Beberapa peraturan itu di antaranya, UU Kepolisian, KUHAP dan berbagai aturan yang bersinggungan lainnya.
Lanjut Teo, beberapa UU itu penting dilakukan karena berhubungan juga dengan kewenangan besar dari Kepolisian. Tujuannya, kata Teo, agar pengawasan dan kontrol yang efektif terhadap kewenangan besar Kepolisian tersebut.
“Presiden segera membentuk sebuah Tim Independen Percepatan Reformasi di kepolisian yang bekerja secara langsung di bawah Presiden, guna memastikan perubahan terjadi di semua lini kepolisian,” ucapnya.
Selain itu, Koalisi juga meminta Jokowi dan DPR RI memerintahkan Kapolri Jenderal Listyo Sigit Prabowo untuk melakukan evaluasi menyeluruh.
Jokowi dan DPR, kata Teo, harus meminta Listyo mengambil langkah perbaikan bagi pelaksanaan tugas kepolisian yang mengedepankan prinsip-prinsip pemolisian demokratik dan penghormatan hak asasi manusia.
“Petugas yang melakukan tindak kekerasan harus segera ditindak melalui proses peradilan pidana yang transparan, sehingga bisa menjadi bagian komitmen dari penegakan hukum di tubuh internal kepolisian,” tuturnya.
