Makassar, karebaindonesia.id – Komunitas Earth Hour (EH) Makassar mengadakan kegiatan Pasar Pangan Lokal (Pangkal) bekerjasama dengan Pangan Bijak Nusantara.

Kegiatan tersebut berlangsung di Rumah Hijau Denassa (RHD), Bontonompo, Kabupaten Gowa, Sulawesi Selatan pada Sabtu, 24 Oktober 2020 yang dimulai pagi tadi.

Meski di tengah pandemi Covid-19, kegiatan tersebut berjalan lancar dengan menerapkan protokol kesehatan selama kegiatan berlangsung.

Kegiatan dengan konsep ramah lingkungan tersebut menyuguhkan keasrian alam dengan suasana seperti di dalam pasar yang ditata sedemikian rapi, dengan memberikan batas jarak aman antara pedagang dan pembeli, serta tersedianya tempat cuci tangan bagi para pengunjung kegiatan tersebut.

Koordinator Kota Komunitas EH Makassar, Nanda Irma Aulia Desi Pratiwi mengatakan bahwa kegiatan Pangkal yang diselenggarakan kali ini adalah wujud untuk melestarikan panganan lokal.

“Jadi di pasar pangkal ini hanya panganan lokal yang akan dijajakan. Uang atau alat jual beli yang digunakan di pasar ini pun menggunakan daun lontar yang merupakan salah satu item Makassar,” ujarnya.

Dalam penjelasannya, Nanda sapaan akrabnya mengatakan bahwa ada banyak ragam item kegiatan yang ditawarkan kali ini, salah satunya yaitu kelas memasak membuat panganan lokal, serta kelas daring (online) bagi mereka yang tak sempat menghadiri kegiatan Pangkal.

“Ada virtual kelas juga memperkenalkan tumbuh-tumbuhan yang ada di kawasan Rumah Hijau Denassa, dan juga ada sesi belajar menanam padi,” ungkapnya.

Tak hanya itu saja, Nanda juga menambahkan bahwa kegiatan tersebut menawarkan perasaan nostalgia kepada pengunjung dengan makanan jajanan masa kecil yang sudah jarang ditemukan saat ini.

Harapannya, para generasi muda akan dikenalkan makanan lokal yang telah ditemui di kehidupan sehari-hari sebagai wujud kecintaan kepada warisan orang tua terdahulu.

“Harapannya, pengunjung bisa kembali mencari dan mengonsumsi panganan lokal di kehidupan sehari-hari,” harapnya.

Diketahui, Komunitas Earth Hour sendiri merupakan salah satu gerakan yang diinisiasi oleh WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature) yang berfokus pada kampanye global untuk isu lingkungan hidup seperti perubahan iklim dan kajian isu lainnya.[]
