OPINI: Curahan Hati Guru Dadakan, Strategi Pendidikan untuk Anak

Karebaindonesia.id – Musim Uzumaki Naruto berkeluarga diikuti angkatannya juga sudah punya anak mewarnai kartun Indonesia. Lahirlah Boruto, sebagai sekuel dari cerita Naruto. Hampir sama dengan Naruto, Boruto lebih banyak bergaul dengan temannya. Ironinya, meskipun memiliki ayah–lebih baik dari hidup Naruto–Boruto tidak begitu akrab dengannya.

Adegan ini seperti bercerita bahwa telah banyak terjadi kerenggangan hubungan antar anggota keluarga. Akibatnya orang tua melupakan waktu bersama anaknya. Anak menjadi asing dan tidak merasa hadir dalam keluarga. Padahal keluarga adalah benteng utama pembentuk jiwa dan karakter anak.

Membedah Pola Pendidikan SD di Indonesia

Menjadi pengajar dirumah sekaligus kakak bagi seorang adik di masa pandemi adalah suatu tantangan. Apalagi ini adalah amanah dari orang tua. Selain karena alasan status pendidikan juga sebab mereka percaya bahwa sayalah yang bisa menjadi guru bagi adik-adik saya. Di sisi lain, terdapat banyak hal yang saya sadari dari pengalaman ini.

Sebelum masa pandemi, pendidikan dititikberatkan di sekolah saja. Tidak heran jika sejak dulu partisipasi orang tua atau anggota keluarga lain sangat jarang terjadi. Di masa pandemi pemerintah mengupayakan berbagai regulasi untuk tetap melaksanakan pendidikan formal. Mulai dari memindahkan media pembelajaran melalui daring atau PJJ, menyediakan jadwal tayangan pendidikan melalui TVRI, penyaluran kuota bagi pendidik dan yang dididik, dan banyak hal. Sayangnya, model ini masih mencerminkan bahwa orientasi pendidikan masih tetap tanggung jawab sekolah saja dan tidak menjamin keterlibatan orang tua atau anggota keluarga lainnya.

Buktinya masih banyak terdapat sekolah yang justru membuat orientasi pendidikan ke arah pemberian tugas dan PR semata. Bahkan terdapat kasus dimana sekolah menyediakan fotokopian tugas tiap harinya yang langsung diserahkan pada orang tua. Tentu ini memberatkan siswa. Apalagi jika mendapat ancaman dari gurunya akan bermasalah dengan nilai sekolah misalnya. Tidak heran jika KPAI banyak menerima aduan perihal siswa yang stress akibat tugas.

PJJ yang diharapkan membuat keluarga memiliki peran sentral dalam pendidikan tidak bisa terwujud. PJJ tidak bisa menjamin terbangunnya kedekatan antara orang tua atau keluarga dengan anak. Seperti kejadian September lalu, yakni siswa kelas 1 SD berusia 8 tahun yang tewas akibat mendapat kekerasan dari orang tuanya. Kasus tersebut dilatarbelakangi orang tua tersebut yang menjustifikasi anaknya susah paham dengan pelajaran.

Kasus ini hendaknya juga menjadi cerminan bagaimana tingkah laku keluaga Indonesia. Jika ditarik kebelakang, bisa saja orang tua juga menghadapi stress akibat tidak ingin menanggung teguran dari sekolah karena anaknya tidak bisa mengerjakan tugas.

Akibatnya, selain perilaku orang tua Indonesia yang menjadi persoalan, beban tugas yang diberikan sekolah juga dapat menjadi alasan utama kejadian ini. Bukan hanya menganggu fisik maupun psikis pada anak tetapi pada orang tua juga. Ironi ini telah mempertautkan dua subjek pengajar yakni sekolah dan orang tua.

Sehingga, penulis berkesimpulan bahwa ada tiga hal yang harusnya dibenahi. Pertama, merombak sistem penilaian guru. Kedua, merombak konten pembelajaran sekolah. Ketiga, melatih orang tua agar memliki kemampuan menjadi guru dan tidak hanya memerintah anak untuk mengerjakan tugas.

Desain Baru Pendidikan Sekolah Dasar Indonesia

Selayaknya berani menggugurkan UN, pemerintah atau dalam hal ini Kemdikbud juga harus berani untuk mengintenskan kehadiran keluarga dalam proses tumbuh kembang anak. Lalu, bagaimana mengintegrasikan antara peran orang tua dan sekolah? Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini, penulis menawarkan tiga strategi;

Pertama, pemerintah harus merombak orientasi pendidikan untuk jenjang sekolah dasar untuk tidak lagi menjadikan nilai sebagai outputnya. Program pemerintah yang terbaru, yakni Asesmen Nasional sebagai pengganti UN harus segera terintegrasi dan menjadi kiblat program sekolah. Biarlah tugas tidak menjadi beban dan justru menjadi proses kreatif orang tua untuk memahamkan pendidikan pada anaknya. Output yang akan diterima adalah deskripsi secara kualitatif tentang kemampuan anak yang indikatornya bisa diperoleh dari hubungan orang tua dan anaknya.

Kedua, untuk menjamin interaksi antara orang tua dan anaknya maka tugas tetap boleh diberikan. Dengan syarat bahwa tugas yang diberikan berbentuk kolaborasi. Misalnya saja, membuat video senam orang tua dan anak; membuat video menghapal perkalian antara orang tua dan anak; tugas analisa teks dirubah menjadi upaya sekolah menyediakan fasilitas bahan bacaan untuk dibacakan orang tua pada anak atau sebaliknya, dan semacamnya.

Ketiga, sekolah harus menyediakan ruang pertemuan antara guru dan orang tua murid untuk membahas cara mendidik di rumah. Hal ini bertujuan sebagai ruang konsultasi pihak keluarga mengenai kendala mereka untuk mendidik anak. Wadah ini juga diharapkan agar guru bisa menjadi fasilitator orang tua (atau anggota keluarga yang lain) untuk menjadi mitra guru dirumah. Program bermanfaat agar guru tidak serta-merta menyalahkan orang tua karena tidak bisa mendidik anaknya atau menyalahkan anak yang tidak sama kecepatan pemahamannya. Sehingga, objek guru tidak hanya pada murid, tapi juga orang tua murid.

Pada akhirnya, metode pendidikan tersebut akan membangun partisipasi orang tua atau anggota keluarga lain dengan anaknya dapat terjalin dan terjamin. Sehingga, selain mengubah proses pendidikan anak juga memperbaiki hubungan antar keluarga karena mengintenskan interaksi antar mereka.

Pola-pola semacam ini akan tentu merubah orientasi pendidikan jaman pra-pandemi yang terpusat pada sekolah digantikan dengan melibatkan keluarga sebagai subjek sekaligus objek. Oleh karena itu, mari memanfaatkan masa pandemi ini untuk segera membenahi proses pendidikan kita.[]
