Melalui Budidaya dan Pengemasan Higenis, Tim PKM Unismuh Tingkatkan Pengetahuan Petani Madu di Mallawa, Maros

Maros, karebaindonesia.id – PKM Madu Mallawa merupakan program pemberdayaan masyarakat petani madu di Mallawa Kabupaten Maros. Program ini dilaksanakan oleh Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar dan merupakan program hibah PKM dari Kementerian Riset dan Teknologi melalui Badan Penguatan Riset dan inovasi Nasional. Selaku ketua program, Uyunnasirah Hambali, S.Pd., M.Pd. menjelaskan bahwa setidaknya ada 3 program utama dalam kegiatan PKM madu Mallawa yaitu Penyuluhan Budidaya Madu, Pelatihan dan Pendampingan Pengemasan Madu Higenis, dan Pemasaran berbasis digital marketing.

Tim PKM madu Mallawa mengawali program melalui kegiatan penyuluhan budidaya madu dilakukan pada tanggal 15 – 17 Juli 2021. Dalam Kegiatan penyuluhan dihadiri oleh petani madu di desa Mallawa. Sedangkan Narasumber pada kegiatan penyuluhan yaitu Hilmi Hambali, S.Pd., M.Pd. sebagai ahli di bidang budidaya madu sekaligus sebagi anggota Tim PKM Madu Mallawa. Dalam memaparkan materinya, Bu Hilmi Hambali memberikan bekal pengetahuan kepada petani seperti bagaimana persiapan, penyiapan saran, pemilihan bibit lebah, pemeliharaan, dan proses panen. Persiapan budidaya lebah berupa perlengkapan dan perlindungan seperti penyiapan saran, pemilihan bibit lebah, pakaian pelindung, sarung tangan, tanaman sekitar, dan penkondisian suhu yang ideal. Tahapan Pemeliharaan berupa pemindahan lebah, air gula sebagai salah satu sumber makanan lebah, dan melakukan pengecekan dan pembersihan dari rayap.

Dokumentasi kegiatan

Selain kegiatan penyuluhan, Tim PKM mallawa juga memberikan kegiatan pendampingan pengemasan madu yang dilakukan pada 24 Juli – 6 Agustus 2021. Kegiatan diawali dengan memberikan pelatihan pengemasan produk selamat 3 hari, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan pendampingan selama 11 Hari. Dalam kegiatan pelatihan melibatkan 2 narasumber yaitu bapak Dian Pramana Putra, S.Pd., M.Pd. selaku Direktur Unit Bisnis Center (UBC) Unismuh Makassar dan M Rusli B., S.Pd., M.Pd. ketua unit pengembangan kewirausahaan Universitas Cokroaminoto Palopo. Bapak Dian Pramana sebagai narasumber pertama menyajikan materi, bagaimana cara pengemasan produk yang higenis. Sedangkan Bapak M Rusli B sekaligus anggota Tim PKM madu mellawa menyajikan materi peningkatan nilai jual produk melalui kemasan produk higenis.

Manfaat dari kegiatan PKM Madu mallawa bagi petani berupa peningkatan pengetahuan dalam budidaya madu mulai dari penyiapan rumah madu, pembibitan, pemeliharaan lebah, dan proses panen. Petani madu akan mentransformasi cara menghasilkan madu yang bersifat alami menjadi konsep budidaya. Selain itu, hasil dari kegiatan ini berupa peningkatan pengetahuan petani dalam pengemasan yang higenis mulai dari penyaringan sampai pada pengemasan dan strategi peningkatkan hasil penjualan melalui pengemasan yang bervariasi. Diakhir, Uyunnasirah Hambali menyampaikan Ucapan terima kasih kepada seluruh pihak yang telah berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan PKM mallawa, dan berharap dapat bermanfaat untuk semua pihak khususnya petani madu mallawa.
