Resmi, Pemerintah Naikkan Harga Cukai Rokok 12,5 Persen Tahun Depan

Jakarta, karebaindonesia.id – Menteri Keuangan (Menkeu), Sri Mulyani Indrawati mengatakan bahwa Pemerintah secara resmi menetapkan kebijakan terbaru mengenai cukai hasil tembakau atau cukai rokok pada tahun 2021 tahun depan sebesar 12,5 persen.

“Kita akan menaikkan cukai rokok dalam hal ini sebesar 12,5 persen,” ujar Sri Mulyani dalam keterangan pers dilansir kompas.com pada Kamis, 10 Desember 2020 kemarin.

Dia pun mengatakan bahwa sedianya akhir Oktober lalu pengumuman kenaikan tarif cukai dikelarkan, namun harus molor di awal Desember ini lantaran kebijakan tersebut digodok dalam suasana pandemi Covid-19.

Diketahui, pembahasan kebijakan terkait cukai hasil tembakau tahun ini cukup alot dikarenakan emerintah perlu menyeimbangkan aspek unsur kesehatan dengan sisi perekonomian, yakni kelompok terdampak pandemi seperti pekerja dan petani.

“Sehingga dalam hal ini kita mencoba menyeimbangkan aspek unsur kesehatan di saat yang sama mempertimbangkan kondisi perekonomian umum, yang terdampak Covid-19 terutama kelompok pekerja dan petani,” tambahnya.

Meski mengalami kenaikan, dia mengatakan bahwa untuk kelompok industri sigaret kretek tangan tidak mengalami kenaikan tarif cukai. Hal itu dikarenakan industri tersebut termasuk industri padat karya yang mempekerjakan 158.552 buruh di seluruh Indonesia.

“Artinya kenaikannya 0 persen untuk sigaret kretek tangan yang memiliki unsur tenaga kerja terbesar,” ungkapnya.
