Sedih! Peta Palestina ‘Hilang’, Umat Islam Dunia Meradang

karebaindonesia.id – Konflik kemanusiaan antara Palestina dan Israel tak pernah menemukan titik menuju perdamaian. Warga Palestina harus hidup dalam ketakutan pendudukan Israel di negerinya yang membuat negara Palestina dari masa ke masa mengalami penyusutan wilayah karena dikuasai oleh Israel.

Kabar terbaru kini ramai diperbincangkan warganet. Pasalnya, Aplikasi Goggle Maps dan Apple Maps milik perusahaan besar Goggle dan Apple menghilangkan peta Palestina dan hanya menampakkan peta Israel pada seluruh wilayah Palestina.

Sontak warganet di seluruh dunia, termasuk umat Muslim meradang atas sikap Goggle dan Apple menghilangkan peta Palestina. Menurut mereka, pihak Goggle dan Apple malah mendukung penjajahan Israel atas Palestina.

Meski demikian, pihak Goggle tidak menghapus Palestina di Goggle Maps, tapi Goggle memang tidak pernah menyisipkan nama Palestina ke dalam Goggle Maps dalam layanan manapun yang dimiliki Goggle. Pihak Goggle Maps maupun Apple Maps hanya menunjukkan garis pemisah Jalur Gaza dan Tepi Barat dengan Israel, tapi tak mencantumkan nama Palestina.

Dalam artikel dari theguardian.com, juru bicara Goggle mengatakan bahwa sejak dulu, tidak pernah ada nama Palestina di aplikasi Goggle Maps. Menurutnya, mereka menemukan bug yang menghapus nama untuk “Jalur Gaza” dan “Tepi Barat”, sehingga mereka dengan cepat mengerjakan bug tersebut untuk memasang kembali nama Jalur Gaza dan Tepi Barat di Goggle Maps.

Konflik Israel-Palestina sampai kini belum mendapat titik temu solusi. Walau Palestina telah diakui sebagai negara berdaulat oleh PBB bersama 136 negara lainnya, namun Amerika Serikat yang dimana kantor Goggle dan Apple berpusat tak mengakui Palestina sebagai negara berdaulat.[]
