JK mengungkapkan dukungannya secara langsung saat memberi sambutan dalam Deklarasi Appi-Rahman di Hotel Aryaduta Makassar via video virtual pada Jumat, 21 Agustus 2020 kemarin
JK dalam sambutannya meyakinkan bahwa pasangan Appi-Rahman akan memajukan kota Makassar jika ia terpilih menjadi Walikota dan Wakil Walikota Makassar.
“Saya yakin dengan Appi-Rahman kota Makassar ini akan bangkit, dengan jiwa kewirausahaan yang baik dan visionernya, Makassar akan maju.
“Oleh karena itu Appi-Rahman yang mempunyai kemampuannya di bidang itu, tentunya akan mampu mengangkat peranan Makassar jadi kota baik dari segi ekonominya, pendidikan, keuangannya dan memajukan daerah kota Makassar lebih baik,” ungkapnya yang dilansir Saudagarnews.id pada Jumat, 21 Agustus 2020 kemarin
Tambahnya, JK sangat mengharapkan Appi-Rahman bisa membawa kembali Makassar bersinar sesuai dengan harapan masyarakat kota Makassar.
“Olehnya saya itu lihat saudara Appi yang mencalonkan diri sebagai calon wali kota saya yakin mampuh untuk mengagkat Makassar kembali bersinar,” pungkasnya.[]
