Makassar, karebaindonesia.id – Anggota Komisi D DPRD Kota Makassar Irwan Djafar menilai rencana pemerintah pusat soal pajak pertambahan nilai (PPN) untuk sembako berada pada momentum yang salah. Rencana ini tertuang dalam revisi Undang-Undang Nomor 6 tahun 1983 tentang Ketentuan Umum dan Tata Cara Perpajakan (KUP).
“Belum saatnya dikenakan pajak sembako, ini masih situasi pandemi dan ekonomi belum pulih,” kata Irwan, Selasa, 15 Juni 2021.
Dia meminta rencana pajak sembako dibicarakan ulang. Hal itu, kata dia, dapat mematikan semangat ekonomi yang tengah kembali bertumbuh. Dia juga menganggap hal ini tidak begitu urgent, kalau bisa dipending dulu.
Indra, Pedagang telur Pasar Terong mengeluhkan wacana tersebut. Ia mengatakan, saat ini pendapatan di tengah pandemi belum menentu. Seyogyanya, kata Indra, orang-orang yang memiliki kendaraan pribadi yang seharusnya berkewajiban membayar pajak.
“Iya keberatan, kenapa harus ada pajak lagi? kenapa bisa sembako ada pajaknya?, kecuali orang bermobil’ki, itu baru dimintai bayar pajak, kalau cuma penjual, masa disuruh lagi bayar pajak sembako,” bebernya,” ujar Indra.
Senanda dengan itu, Rahman, pedagang campuran di Pasar Terong menilai kebijakan tersebut tidak berpihak kepada pedagang. Dia keberatan melihat dampak pandemiyang sangat terasa bagi para penjual di pasar.
“Sangat keberatan, apalagi dampak pandemi ini sangat terasa bagi kami penjual di pasar, ekonomi belum membaik,” beber Rahman.
