Tak Terapkan PSBB, Pj Wali Kota Makassar: Massifkan Swab Massal

Makassar, Karebaindonesia.id — Pj Wali Kota Makassar, Rudy Djamaluddin menegaskan tidak lagi menyiapkan opsi Pembatasan Sosial berskala besar (PSBB) sebagai strategi penanganan wabah Covid-19 di Kota Makassar.

Pihaknya mengaku lebih fokus pada upaya penerapan protokol kesehatan secara maksimal ditengah masyarakat.

Selain itu, Gugus Tugas Provinsi Sulsel bersama Gugus Tugas Kota Makassar mulai hari ini, Jumat (11/09/2020) melakukan swab massal secara massif bergiliran di enam kecamatan yang selama ini menjadi episentrum penyebaran Covid-19.

Rudy mengatakan bahwa penerapan protokol kesehatan diharap tidak lagi menjadi paksaan namun sudah menjadi kebiasaan baru bagi warga kota.

“Kita tidak lagi memilih opsi PSBB karena itu bisa memukul kembali ekonomi masyarakat yang akibatnya bisa lebih parah, kita tidak ingin krisis ekonomi yang bisa berlanjut menjadi krisis sosial,” ujarnya.

“Jika kebiasaan menerapkan protokol kesehatan ketika beraktifitas di luar rumah, Insya Allah ini akan sangat efektif dalam menghentikan penularan” tambahnya kepada awak media, Kamis (10/09/2020).

Sementara itu, menanggapi potensi pelanggaran protokol kesehatan ditengah proses pelaksanaan tahapan Pilwali Makassar, Rudy menyampaikan pentingnya penegakan Peraturan KPU tentang sanksi administrasi terhadap pasangan calon yang terbukti melanggar.

“Saya rasa aturannya sudah sangat jelas. Tinggal komitmen kita secara bersama bahwa protokol kesehatan itu merupakan sesuatu yang utama, semua pasangan calon harus menaatinya, jika tidak berarti yang bersangkutan tidak memperhatikan keselamatan warga kota Makassar,” pungkas Rudy.

Pemerintah Kota (Pemkot) Makassar akan berkordinasi dengan KPU dan Bawaslu untuk memperketat pengawasan dan memastikan protokol kesehatan berjalan.
