Makassar, Karebaindonesia.id — Tagar #UnhasGratiskanUKT menjadi salah satu trending topic di media sosial Twitter pada Ahad (02/08/2020). Tagar #UnhasGratiskanUKT setidaknya masih berlangsung hingga pukul 18.02 WITA dengan jumlah kicauan sebanyak 6.487 tweets.

Aliansi Mahasiswa Unhas mengajak mahasiswa Unhas untuk turut meramaikan membuat beragam kicauan disertai poster layaknya unjuk rasa.

Namun, akun resmi Universitas Hasanuddin (@hasanuddin_univ) yang ikut disenggol dalam berbagai cuitan tersebut tidak memberikan respon.

Rupanya, tagar #UnhasGratiskanUKT ini merupakan bentuk aksi unjuk rasa secara daring oleh mahasiswa yang telah lama menuntut pihak kampus untuk gratiskan uang kuliah tunggal (UKT) di masa pandemi seperti saat ini.

Mahasiswa kecewa dengan keputusan Rektor Unhas yang tertuang dalam SK Nomor 3329/UN4.1/KEP/2020 dan SK Nomor 3260/UN4.1/KEP/2020 tentang pemberian keringanan pembiayaan uang kuliah tunggal (UKT).

“Ada 2 surat yang sudah dikeluarkan pihak kampus terkait UKT. Namun, teman-teman mahasiswa merasa banyak hal yang mengganjal bahkan kesannya tidak sesuai harapan,” ucap Nur Wahid, Humas Aliansi Mahasiswa Unhas kepada Karebaindonesia.id.

Disisi lain, mahasiswa yang dapat menerima keringanan pembiayaan UKT terbatas, sehingga mahasiswa menuntut untuk adanya pemerataan pemberian keringanan.

Aliansi Mahasiswa Unhas telah melayangkan Press Release persoalan polemik UKT dan terus meminta transparansi Universitas Hasanuddin yang ditujukan kepada Rektor Unhas, Prof. Dwia Aries Tina Palubuhu sejak konfrensi pers pada tanggal (14/07) di depan Gedung Rektorat Unhas.

“Sampai hari ini tidak mendapat respon apapun dari pihak kampus,” tutup Wahid.
